VE Models will require park brake cables to be re-routed to create driveshaft clearance, or removed and vehicle fitted with electric E-STOPP park brake system.

VF Models run electric hand brake, therefore, do not have cable issues.

Description:

Available now for the Commodore VE-VF Sedan (with a TH400 swap ONLY) is our 3.80″ carbon fibre shaft. We have done extensive testing with stock rears and with our 9″ kit and believe this to the most cost-effective trouble-free driveshaft for the VE-VF available today. The shaft will come with a direct fit rear flange, so you don’t have to go into the rear to swap the diff flange and taking a chance on upsetting the crush collar. The shaft only weighs 9.5kg and comes with grade 12.9 hardware with back up lock nuts to ensure no loose bolts.

You will have to remove the heat shield from above centre hanger mount to install a 3.80″ shaft and there is a possibility of clearance issues with aftermarket exhausts. This is a general warning; we have several test shafts out and not one had an issue. I have listed this because not all exhaust systems have been tested.

We have recently taken delivery of a new type balancing machine. This new machine, can spin a 8kg/17lb shaft to actual speeds of over 9000 RPM. Most driveshaft balancers only spin from 400-3000 RPM (most average about 1000 RPM). This machine was custom made for us and high-speed balancing is offered as a separate service, only from The Drive Shaft Shop.
